A true Dreamer, we chat with Alli about her photography muse and how to discover if a photographer is the right fit for you.

What should brides look for when choosing their wedding photographer?

Brides who are artists will know immediately who is for them. They know how to look for authentic and un-staged stuff. In the bridal world, so much is staged, even if you think it isn’t. What you want wants you; notice how you FEEL when looking at someone’s folio. You might not identify culturally with the subject; however, energy is universal.

A photograph that took your breath away and why?

Bruce Weber’s emotional campaigns showed free-laughing women when I was a teenager in the ’90s. I used to cover my bedroom walls with them.

Who or what is your muse/inspiration for your photography?

My muse is my client from their energy, story, family constellations, and the light that creeps through the cracks when they connect to themselves.

What would you say your ‘style’ is?

Psychological and spiritual, hahaha, so … editorial, photojournalistic, portraiture, a mixed bag.

What inspired you to become a photographer?

My clients were inviting me!! The rest is history.

What’s something you’re looking forward to this year?

I am travelling around Europe with my wonderful team, servicing some incredible clients.

One piece of advice for Brides?

Ask yourself, is this person an artist? Or a wedding vendor?

A quote you live by…

“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you’ve imagined. As you simplify your life, the laws of the universe will be simpler.”
