New York Bridal Fashion Week: All the Highlights from Day One
April 8, 2025
The city was washed in rain, but bridal fashion bloomed regardless. As the first official day of New York Bridal Fashion Week unfolded, the mood was electric, intimate previews, downtown ateliers, and a slow reveal of this season’s redefinition of romance. From archival nostalgia to architectural minimalism, today’s collections suggest a bride who is both storied and striking.

Katherine Tash’s Heritage collection marked a graceful return to signature silhouettes, cowl necks, drop waists, and internal corsetry in liquid silks and matte crepes. Happy Isles curated a love letter to vintage with a suite of archival bridal gems, including a 1990s Dolce & Gabbana gown. At the Magda Butrym pop-up, sculptural heels and floral pins hinted at the new bridal accessory codes. The day closed at Amsale’s SoHo flagship, celebrating clean lines and quiet confidence as the brand ushered in its modern evolution.

“A refined return to form.”
Katherine Tash’s ‘Heritage’ preview honoured the silhouettes that shaped her brand: soft cowl necklines, fluid drop waists, and understated internal corsetry. Each gown was crafted in Santa Monica using silk satin and matte crepe, with signature draping and versatile styling options. Brides are encouraged to personalise by styling sleeves on or off, layering with bodysuits or separates, or opting for minimalist second looks.

“Happy Isles revealed vintage as the new bridal frontier inside a sunlit SoHo suite.”
Founder Kate styled private appointments with treasured archival pieces — a late-‘90s Dolce & Gabbana gown, vintage Versace, and pearl-dusted veils. With vintage bridalwear continuing to trend, the collection struck a chord with brides seeking individuality, heritage, and soul.

“For the fashion-forward bride”
Magda Butrym’s bridal accessories reframe tradition. On display are sculptural rose-heel pumps, bold drop earrings, and satin bags rendered in the brand’s signature floral appliqué. Think after-party polish with an Eastern European edge.
