Inside Jasmine Aiello’s Tuscan Wedding Where Black Tie Elegance Met Couture Romance

When Jasmine Aiello married professional footballer Ben Garuccio at Villa Catureglio in the Tuscan hills, she envisioned a day that felt timeless, romantic and completely her own. “I didn’t want to look back in ten years and regret choosing something overly trend-driven,” Jasmine tells The Bridal Journey. “I wanted it to feel classic and minimal, something I would always love.”

The result was an intimate black tie celebration with 40 of their closest family and friends, blending the rustic charm of a centuries-old Italian villa with couture gowns, personalised details, and a firework-lit millefoglie to end the night.

A Love Story Across Borders

The couple’s story began in 2016, when Jasmine and Ben first connected on Instagram. At the time, Ben was playing soccer professionally in Melbourne and Jasmine had just started university. Their relationship unfolded quickly, yet within months they were navigating years of long distance, first Adelaide, then Edinburgh.

“We learnt the importance of communication and making the most of every moment together,” Jasmine reflects. By 2019, she had moved overseas to be with him, and their shared journey continued as they travelled the world with his career.

Seven years later, Ben proposed at Lancemore Lindenderry winery on a rain-soaked winter’s day. “As soon as there was a break in the clouds, he ushered me out into the vineyards,” Jasmine recalls. “I was taking photos of the view when I turned and saw him on one knee.”

The Tuscan Villa
When it came to choosing a venue, intimacy was key. With guests flying in from around the world, the couple wanted a setting that felt like a family retreat as much as a wedding. Villa Catureglio, a sprawling property tucked into the Tuscan countryside, offered just that.

“It was rustic and stylish, spacious yet completely private,” Jasmine says. “We wanted to celebrate without curfews, to truly immerse ourselves in the weekend with the people we love.”

Planning with Precision
To bring the day to life, Jasmine worked with Laura Ferrari Weddings, a boutique planning duo based in Tuscany. “Their approach was relaxed yet professional, nothing was ever too hard,” she says. While Jasmine styled the celebrations herself, creating detailed moodboards and directing every element, the planners handled vendor management and logistics.

Her vision was deliberately pared back: a monochromatic palette of white florals including roses, hydrangeas and peonies, set against black and white furniture and silverware. Guests were asked to wear classic black tie, and bridesmaids were dressed in tones inspired by the villa’s surroundings. “I designed everything from a photography perspective,” Jasmine notes. “It all had to flow.”

The Couture Bride
For the ceremony, Jasmine wore a Berta gown sourced through Raffaele Ciuca Bridal. “I’d seen it online and knew instantly it was mine,” she says. After a private trunk show appointment, she secured the gown and paired it with custom Jimmy Choo heels, Swarovski jewellery, and bespoke Sundarata earrings.

Her husband worked with Germanicos Tailors to design two custom looks, down to the lining and button details. For the reception, Jasmine later changed into a sleek Eva Lendel gown to dance beneath the Tuscan stars.

The Ceremony & Celebration
Set to the sound of harp and violin, the bridal party walked to Lana Del Rey’s Video Games before Jasmine made her entrance to Ellie Goulding’s How Long Will I Love You. Their symbolic ceremony was simple and heartfelt, with a celebrant narrating their love story.

Dinner unfolded at a single long table in the villa’s gardens, styled in whites with touches of silver and gold. The menu was indulgently Italian, from buffalo mozzarella ravioli to beef fillet with shaved truffle, followed by a towering millefoglie cake, Jasmine’s yearly birthday tradition.

As fireworks lit up the sky, Jasmine and Ben shared one of their most emotional moments. “All of the feelings we’d held throughout the day just overflowed,” she says. “We looked up at the fireworks, crying in disbelief that it had all happened.”

Advice for Brides-to-Be

“For Jasmine, the most important thing was staying true to themselves. “Choose styling elements that feel authentic to you, not just what’s trending on social media,” she says. Her other practical tips? “Destination brides should watch conversion rates and pay deposits when the timing is right. And always brief your photographer on the family portraits you want, it makes everything easier on the day.”
