In the hills above Palm Beach, overlooking the ocean, Georgia and Shane Doyle celebrated their wedding in an intimate and elevated way. It was a day shaped by love, layered with thoughtful detail, and brought to life by the people who matter most.
Their story began in 2012 at a friend’s party. Although they shared many mutual friends, that was the night their paths truly crossed. Six years later, Shane asked Georgia out on their first official date. They’ve been together ever since. Shane proposed at Rae’s on Wategos in Byron Bay, one of their favourite places. Georgia walked into their suite to find red rose petals scattered from the door to the bed, where a heart of petals spelled out “Will You Marry Me.” Shane was waiting, ring in hand.

Georgia had a clear vision for the wedding. She wanted a classic and romantic celebration, but also playful and memorable, something that felt like them. They worked with stylist and planner Belinda Brett of The Curated Life, who helped source a private residence in Palm Beach for the ceremony and curated the reception at Bert’s Bar & Brasserie in Newport. Georgia loved that the venue felt like a destination, yet remained close to home. Bert’s held sentimental value, too, which made it the perfect choice.

For the ceremony, guests gathered around the couple in a circular layout, creating a feeling of closeness and connection. Georgia walked down the aisle to Until I Found You by Stephen Sanchez, a song with special meaning for the couple. The lyrics were printed along the aisle, so she passed over the words as she made her way to Shane.
She wore a gown by Monique Lhuillier, chosen during the designer’s trunk show at Helen Rodrigues Bridal in Sydney. It was the first dress she tried on, and the only brand she considered. Her look was completed with a Monique Lhuillier veil, Saint Laurent earrings, Jimmy Choo heels and her sister-in-law’s diamond tennis bracelet, her something borrowed.
For the reception, Georgia changed into a white mini dress by Magda Butrym, which she had pre-ordered months in advance while working in PR at Désordre Boutique. She paired it with pieces from the same collection, keeping the styling minimal and refined.

The reception at Bert’s was transformed with garden roses, layered candlelight, and a blend of custom floral arrangements that gave each table its own identity. The floral design on the bridal table featured elements from every arrangement in the room, symbolising the people in their lives coming together.
Guests were welcomed with caviar, Aperol spritz and Limoncello cocktails before sitting down to a banquet-style dinner. The one-metre-wide pavlova wedding cake was assembled live in the room, adding a theatrical and delicious surprise.
The music experience was also thoughtfully curated. A solo violinist played during guest arrival. Reigan Derry performed during cocktail hour and later teamed up with DJ Rich Penny for a high-energy reception set with the dance floor packed all night.

One of Georgia’s favourite moments was walking into the reception for the first time. She and Shane hadn’t done a pre-look, so stepping into the space with all their guests waiting was magic. “I didn’t realise how emotional it would be to see the room come to life. The scent of the roses, the candlelight, our friends and family. It felt like the beginning of our next chapter.”
