FRANCESCA MIRANDA Rosas Fall 2026 Collection Image Alexandra Cohen

Francesca Miranda: Rosas Fall 2026

At New York Bridal Fashion Week, Francesca Miranda unveiled Rosas, a collection as intimate as it was intricate, where roses became both muse and metaphor. The presentation unfolded not on a runway but within a West Village townhouse, transformed into a living still-life filled with hundreds of roses flown in from Colombia’s premium grower, Wayuu. The scent of blooms filled the rooms, their placement styled into dramatic floral installations by New York based Colombian artist Carolina Malabet. Against this backdrop of abundance and artistry, Miranda’s vision came into bloom.

Inspiration: A Colombian Love Letter

Rooted in Miranda’s Colombian atelier and Latin heritage, Rosas paid homage to the rose as an eternal emblem of love, strength and transformation. The flower’s multiplicity, soft yet thorned, ephemeral yet enduring, became the narrative thread of the collection. “Roses have always symbolized love, strength and beauty, qualities I see in every woman I design for,” Miranda shared. “This collection celebrates the idea of blooming, of evolving with grace while honouring where we come from.”

The Collection: Couture as Craft and Emotion

Composed of eleven couture gowns, each handmade in Miranda’s Barranquilla atelier, Rosas was a study in texture as a language of emotion. Polka dot tulle, delicate laces, sculpted organza roses and intricate hand beading intertwined to capture both softness and structure, the hallmarks of the Francesca Miranda bride.

A standout moment came with a halter gown of hand sewn crochet, paired with a sheer veil that whispered fragility yet held the quiet strength of artisanal craft. Elsewhere, lace bodices gave way to flowing skirts, scalloped trains unfurled like petals, and organza roses blossomed across gowns in sculptural formations. Grouped together, the brides resembled a portrait come to life, a tableau where tradition and modernity coexisted in balance.

Captured through the lens of Colombian photographer Andrés Oyuela, the collection bridged heritage and contemporary artistry. Hair and makeup were curated by MakeUp Academy and Aveda, with hair direction by Lilly Distelcamp, completing the immersive tableau with understated elegance.

Reflection: The Modern Bride

With Rosas, Miranda framed the modern bride not as a figure to be adorned but as a woman in bloom, inhabiting the contradictions of love, devotion, fragility and individuality. Each gown became a meditation on transformation, from petal to form, from craftsmanship to emotion. It was couture as heritage and art, an offering to brides who carry both softness and resilience.
