Masseria Moroseta
Perched on a hill overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, Masseria Moroseta is a stunning whitewashed farmhouse nestled within a 5-hectare olive grove in the heart of Puglia, just a stone’s throw from the charming hillside town of Ostuni. This beautiful retreat, located approximately 3 kilometers from the coast, offers a perfect blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern design.
Architecturally designed by Andrew Trotter, Masseria Moroseta was built using traditional techniques and local materials, evoking the timeless beauty of ancient fortified farmhouses characteristic of the Puglian countryside. Yet, it also exudes a fresh, contemporary vibe that makes it feel both historic and modern.
The property features six rooms, all arranged around a central courtyard, ranging in size from 24 to 45 square meters. Each room is thoughtfully appointed with a king-size bed, a spacious bathroom with a shower, air conditioning, and heating. The smaller rooms offer large private outdoor spaces, some with private gardens and others with terraces that overlook the surrounding fields. The larger suites include a private living room with a fireplace and a daybed, perfect for accommodating a third guest.
Every room is built with stunning vaulted ceilings and 80 cm thick walls, ensuring a cool and comfortable environment during the hot summer months. The entire building is ingeniously designed to capture the fresh ocean breezes that sweep in from the nearby Mediterranean coast, making Masseria Moroseta a serene and refreshing escape in the heart of Puglia.
