The Setting
Stephanie and Alexander’s wedding on November 30, 2024, was nothing short of spectacular. The couple tied the knot in a traditional ceremony at St. Catherine’s Greek Orthodox Church before heading to Sydney Town Hall for a reception that seamlessly blended old-world grandeur with modern elegance.

“I wanted my dress to feel classic but chic.”
Enter Lillian Khallouf, who brought Stephanie’s vision to life with a custom lace gown featuring a striking black trim around the neckline. As a sentimental touch, Khallouf designed an identical dress for Stephanie’s flower girl niece, making the moment even more meaningful.

Creatively Led by Place of LB
Led by the talented planners from Place of LB, the reception captured the perfect mix of grandeur and understated luxury. “Forrest green set the tone for the day,” Stephanie explains. “From the long green carpet that ran through the room to the velvet green curtain marking the entrance, every detail was thoughtfully curated.” The curtain reveal, accompanied by the organ’s rendition of the Wedding March, set the stage for a magical evening.

Homage to Their Heritage
The couple’s Greek heritage added vibrant cultural elements to the celebration. A Greek Bouzouki player kicked off the night’s entertainment, leading to lively Greek dancing and the inclusion of Grecian-inspired decorative pots at the entrance. “We wanted the wedding to feel like one big party,” Stephanie recalls. “Once the formalities were over, the dance floor was electric—it was never empty.”

French Inspired Dining
Food was another standout feature of the evening. As self-described foodies, Stephanie and Alexander worked with their caterer to craft a bespoke French-inspired menu featuring share plates on long tables for an intimate, family-style dining experience. Traditional steak frites served as the main course, a nod to the couple’s love of French cuisine.

A Moment to Remember
One of Stephanie’s favorite moments came on the dance floor. “Our entire bridal party got up onto the Town Hall stage with the massive organ in the background. The guests were watching and filming below—it was such a surreal and spectacular moment,” she shares.
