A Western Fairytale: Mira & Blake’s Intimate Jackson Hole Wedding

The Bridal Journey
The mountains of Jackson Hole became the backdrop for Mira and Blake’s recent celebration. Crisp alpine air, golden light through the pines, and a spirit of Western romance framed a wedding that blended their love of the outdoors with timeless elegance. The result was an experience their family and friends will never forget.

The Couple
She grew up in a tiny town in rural Illinois; he is from Melbourne, Australia. Fate brought them together at the University of Illinois, where Blake was recruited to play college football. In 2018, the two met on a spring break trip that changed everything.
“We became college sweethearts, and have been inseparable ever since,” Mira shares. “It is crazy to think we grew up on opposite sides of the earth, but still found each other.”
The proposal was equally cinematic. After choosing a five carat oval diamond at their local jeweller Giganti Jewelry, Blake proposed on a summer evening while a violinist played their favourite song, LOVE by Nat King Cole.
The Setting
The couple knew the wedding would be set in the West. Guests travelled from across the U.S. and Australia for a week of experiences including hiking, horseback riding, cowboy hat making, and even a rodeo.
The ceremony unfolded at the Chapel of the Sacred Heart, a log-cabin Catholic chapel tucked into the mountains. Afterwards, the celebration moved to Glorietta Trattoria, an intimate Italian restaurant known for its green checkered floors and mahogany bar. “I could not have picked a better venue to host us,” Mira says. “It was simple and easy, yet absolutely iconic.”
The menu leaned into indulgence: oysters, caviar potato chips, truffle pasta, steak, tiramisu, and plenty of tequila. “We had all the things Blake and I enjoy,” Mira recalls.

Creative Direction
The couple drew inspiration from their life on a cattle ranch. “We wanted our guests to experience the West, something many had never seen before,” says Mira.
Décor was minimal, letting the natural setting and venue’s own beauty shine.
Antique hydrangeas, white roses, calla lilies, and amaranthus softened the reception tables. Personal touches included:
Mira’s parents’ vintage cake topper featuring a cowboy-hatted groom and bride.
A rented vintage blue truck as their “something blue”

Fashion Notes
Mira’s bridal wardrobe balanced timeless elegance with playful spirit:
Ceremony: Miles gown by Kyha Studios, paired with a lace mantilla veil from Etsy
Accessories: Tecovas cowgirl boots (The Abby in driftwood suede), oval diamond earrings, tennis bracelet, and engagement ring by Giganti Jewelry, plus a classic Stetson
Second Look: A bold Rat & Boa dress for the afterparty
Blake’s looks were equally considered:
First Look: A custom suit by YSG Tailors (Melbourne)
Reception: A Suit Supply ensemble with a turquoise bolo tie by Montana Silversmiths, Tecovas croc boots, and his own Stetson
The bridal party wore assorted black gowns of their own choosing, creating a modern and effortlessly stylish contrast.

The Ceremony
In the simplicity of a wooden chapel, surrounded by mountains, Mira and Blake exchanged vows without the need for elaborate décor. A string quartet played Clair de Lune and Ave Maria as Mira walked down the aisle.
The reception entrance was pure Western flair. The couple arrived to White Horse by Chris Stapleton, a nod to their backgrounds, “me being a country girl and him being a city boy.”
Reception Style
The trattoria’s warm wood, checkered floors, and glowing bar set the tone. Tables were styled with soft florals and candlelight, while the food was the true star:
Hamachi crudo, truffle pasta, Caesar salad, and steak
House-made gelato and tiramisu
Caviar-topped potato chips and oysters, a favourite of the night
Heartfelt speeches brought tears, while tequila-fuelled dancing led to Dirty Dancing lifts attempted on the dance floor.

Advice from the Bride
“Curate an event that feels like you, and stand by that decision,” Mira shares. “So many people will try to insert their opinion. Do not be afraid to go against trends. Prioritise what matters most to you and let go of the rest.”
