A Fashion Buyer’s Dream: Inside Hannah & Aaron’s Ultra-Stylish Weekend Wedding at Mona Farm
WITH THE BRIDAL JOURNEY
When fashion buyer Hannah and her partner Aaron began dreaming up their wedding, there was one non-negotiable: it had to feel like them. Intimate yet expansive, fashion-focused yet sentimental, it was never about spectacle, it was about soul.

Nuptials at Mona Farm, NSW
And so, on a warm February weekend, surrounded by rolling gardens and 124 acres of art-strewn countryside, they gathered their closest loved ones for a two-day celebration at the ever-enchanting Mona Farm in New South Wales’ Southern Tablelands.
“We wanted somewhere we could celebrate over more than just one day, stay on site with our families, and not have to compromise on space or style,” Hannah shares. “Mona Farm was the only venue we both instantly loved. It felt like a no-brainer.”

Three Looks, One Bride: A Masterclass in Modern Bridal Fashion
Hannah, whose career in fashion spans some of Australia’s top luxury retailers, approached her wedding wardrobe with the same curatorial eye she applies to her profession. But finding the dress wasn’t straightforward.
“After a marathon of dress appointments—from Bloom to Vera Wang to Monique Lhuillier in London—I finally booked a custom appointment with Lilian Khallouf, and never looked back,” she says. “Her energy, her understanding, it was the perfect match.”
Her custom Lilian Khallouf gown, worn for the ceremony, was styled with silver Jacquemus heels, vintage Christian Dior earrings from The RealReal, and a metallic Paco Rabanne clutch—a combination of sculptural elegance and curated nostalgia. But Hannah didn’t stop at one look. For the reception, she slipped into Beare Park’s Eleanor gown—chic, sleek, and minimal. Her final transformation? A show-stopping Carolina Herrera silver gown, sourced after months of hunting on The RealReal and paired with glittering Senso platforms and Emma Pills earrings that brought just the right amount of drama to the dancefloor.
Aaron was equally considered in his sartorial choices. His Oscar Hunt suit was custom-tailored and paired with Gucci loafers, a vintage Omega watch, and Salvatore Ferragamo cufflinks—each piece chosen with intention and sentiment. “I gave him the cufflinks on the morning of the wedding,” Hannah notes. “It was such a special detail.”

Styling, Sound & Sentiment
With long-time collaborators and friends behind many of the key elements, the couple’s day unfolded with heart and authenticity.
Stylist Heidi Cansdell from The Romance Styling executed the couple’s vision flawlessly: “Her authenticity and passion were unmatched,” says Hannah.
Hair was handled by Julia Homard, a trusted confidant of over a decade, who gave Hannah not one, but three distinct hairstyles throughout the day.
Makeup was the work of Joanna Luhrs, another close friend and industry favourite.
The music, too, was deeply personal: Hannah’s brother composed the ceremony soundtrack, and Sam Hearn from Silent Shout transformed the reception into a euphoric dance party
“It was the best dancefloor we’ve ever been on,” she laughs.
Their wedding film was captured by Sam Page, whose discreet lens caught the day’s most intimate moments, while Petter Karlstrom’s editorial-style photography brought a documentary edge to every frame.

Moments that Mattered
The couple’s attention to detail wasn’t just visual—it was emotional. Each guest received a personalised message hidden beneath their dinner menu, a cosmic nod curated by Beyond Words. “It was our way of inviting a little mystery and reflection into the night,” says Hannah.
Guests loved it—many swore the message they received was meant for them.”
Other deeply personal moments included:
•Surprise witness roles for both of their mothers
•A wedding cake made by Hannah’s friend Linh, Design Director at Zimmermann
•A cocktail hour with bespoke drinks: dirty martinis for Hannah, amaretto sours for Aaron

Memorable Moments

A Celebration of Style and Soul
Across three looks, a candlelit dinner, and a weekend of shared stories, Hannah and Aaron’s wedding felt less like an event and more like a portrait of who they are—fashion lovers, family-oriented, and quietly sentimental.
