JOSH

Tell us.. how did you meet and what was the proposal like?’

We met at work. Josh proposed where we had been for lunch a few times before at a winery in the Hunter Valley. We were alone and went for a walk through the vineyards.

What advice would you give to other couples leading up to their big day?

There will always be things you wish you did… don’t have the after party at your hotel room! Make sure you have a relaxing place to spend the night, and to wake up in.

Second thing, be bossy and let it be known if you want something addressed on the night. For example, changing the music or getting people on the DF. It’s your only night to get away with it!

You’re engaged! Now what? How did you go about planning the big day? Budget? First steps to take…

First thing we did was decide which month and what worked for important guests (family and close friends). Then we decided on a DIY vs. all inclusive wedding. We created a doc and mapped out guests so we could start to gauge numbers for our budget. When you find a venue you love, you’ve gotta be willing to take the closest date that works for you.

What was your beauty and fitness prep leading up to the wedding?

I took up some boxing PT in the 3 months leading up to the wedding and did intermittent fasting to make sure I felt my best in the dress.

‘you’ve gotta be bossy!’

Regrets?

Not having the ceremony a little earlier (we started at 4.30pm, no daylight savings) so we could enjoy the afternoon and twilight with our guests.
